My New Partner In Crime AND Kids Using PC’s
May 1st
I have a very exciting announcement to make. I have asked that my brother partner up with me to work on this site. He is a few years younger than me and is expecting his first child this June. I have always wanted the site to be a collaborative effort among dads of different backgrounds so that we can give advice and learn from each other. My experience as a parent centers mostly centers around 2 kids, a girl and a boy both of which are ages 2 and above. Now, c, can bring his new dad experiences to the table. (With that “new dad smell” too!) Hopefully this will expand our coverage and topics and can better serve you. Without further ado, please welcome and enjoy c’s first (of many I’m sure) post here at Smartfathers, “Thoughts On Kids Using PC’s”.
I Like (Some) Kids’ Music
Apr 29th
I’m a huge fan of music. There really aren’t very many types of music I don’t like. I love the way it makes me feel whether it’s calming me down after a rough day or getting me pumped up to do something active. I just love music. So why do I feel kind of weird when I admit, at least to myself, that the music my kids listen to is actually rather enjoyable? It’s fun and happy and sometimes even educational.
Links To Share…

I’m going to try something new, a different way to share links and other things with you, or at least maybe a way that is a bit more structured and organized. I like to pass along little nuggets of information that I think you might find useful or interesting or at least humorous. So maybe instead of letting a bunch of things build up over a long amount of time then just dumping them all at once to “catch up”, I’ll try to make this more of a regular thing, maybe once a week. I’ll also categorize them appropriately so that they are easier to get to.
Here are this edition’s entries:
- Planned Change to UK Maternity Leave Give More Time to Fathers – via Strollerderby
- 25 Useful Financial Rules of Thumb – Get Rich Slowly
- Getting Involved at Your Child’s School – About.com
- Do I really have the balls for this? – Dorky Dad
Enjoy!
