Binaural Tones – sssswwwwweeeeeetttttt
Dec 16th
I love my iPhone, I mean REALLY love my iPhone. In fact it may be a bit unnatural. (No comments from the peanut gallery, or my wife) The thing is absolutely incredible. I finally have a portable computer that allows me to do just about anything that I’d normally need a standard pc for.
One of the best things about this little lovely is all of the applications that can be installed on it. I was recently shown an app from my brother-in-law (thx William) called Binaural Beats. It’s an app that plays binaural tones mixed with some relaxing backgrounds, like a stream or a rainstorm. You can also create your own tones with the stock sounds that come with the app. I personally didn’t really care for the streams and storms so I created my own that are just the tones. Some Quick Thoughts
Dec 16th
I love writing this blog. I do. I find it cleansing, interesting and a bit of a challenge. However, as you can see this is my first post in almost a month. I feel like such a slacker when this much time passes and I haven’t posted anything. It’s not that I haven’t had anything to say, it’s just that I haven’t felt like posting my thoughts. I guess it’s because I kind of feel like this blog has become sort of like my 3 year old. I’m doing all of the talking and all I hear back are crickets chirping. It is really hard to stay motivated when no one comments or even seems to acknowledge the site.
So what do I do? Do I keep going or do I just stop posting and move on? I really think that I do want to continue on because, as I said before, I really do like this. (And I just paid for another year of hosting) I guess if I’m going to press on I should do it right and start really trying to get people to the site. Maybe even throw some cash at it. I think for now I will force myself to look at this blog differently so that posting becomes a lot more fun and not some “chore”. So that will mean that some of my posts won’t be necessarily on the topic of fatherhood or parenting. But maybe with more traffic I’ll get re-focused.
If you do ever drop in on this site please take a minute to comment on one of the posts. You would be amazed at how exhilarating it can be and it will help me post more and possibly even engage in some meaningful conversation.
thanks

November 17 or December 25?
Nov 18th
Will someone please tell me why-o-why does the holiday season start so bloody early! I was at Subway yesterday for lunch and had Christmas carols pounding at my head the entire time. It’s November 17th people, RELAX! It will come soon enough. I just don’t understand it. We don’t start celebrating Easter in late February. We don’t start celebrating Halloween in September. There is absolutely no reason to start Xmas in November.

The Eagle Has Landed
Aug 20th
On Monday I finally got my grubby little paws on my new iPhone. I have to say that since then I have been elated, for the most part. I say for the most part because it has had a couple hiccups that are a tad irritating.
The Countdown Begins…
Aug 12th
I finally got to “buy” my iPhone. On Sunday I gave my money to the little man at the AT&T store and he gave me a receipt. No phone, just a receipt. Now I get the privilege of waiting “7 to 10” days for it to be shipped to the store where I can pick it up. I initially thought that I’d be able to get around all of this by simply buying it from any of the Apple stores here in town. Upon my arrival at Apple however, I found that since I get a discount on my service that only AT&T could sell me the phone. Unbelievable. I hope I’m not making a mistake.

How To Train Your Husband?!?!
Jul 24th
This kind of stuff really drives me nuts. This “journalist”, Amy Sutherland, has written a book on how to manipulate and deceive your husband into submission. It is an absurd article by an absurd person who has no business being married if all she really wants is a damn pet! Maybe she should try treating her husband with respect and actually communicating with him instead of trying to manipulate him.
And one other thing, I can’t imagine the ridicule a man would receive if he turned the tables and started treating his wife like one of Pavlov’s dogs. This idea is completely worthless and demeaning. Treat with respect to receive respect.

Romance? Really?
Feb 13th
So Valentine’s Day is always a time for showing love to your significant other, but this year it seems more unrealistic than ever. We struggle to make lunches and get ready for the next morning each evening and our little girl leaves us exhausted. Even ignoring the fact that my wife is 8 months pregnant you can see the dilemma of Valentine’s Day presents.
It turns out the internet is a wealth of information and tips (for good or bad). I found a few links that might help all of us fathers scratch the surface of how much we love our wives. If you have other ideas please post them so we can benefit from your wisdom.
