You made brushing teeth fun and your 2-year-old responded. Rewards often work as well. When my daughters were young and helped straighten their room, they would often get to watch a Barney video. I mean scream like you are being hacked into little pieces scared at the sight of one. Inside or out, didn't matter and it would last until the thing was gone from view. One day she started to freak out at a fly in the kitchen. I told her "oh no, don't scare him. That is your new pet 'Frankie'". You and got got me a pet, really". "Yes really". It's been 12 yrs and 5 more children. Frankie is still our annual/seasonal pet. My 3 year old was terrified of houseflies. It gets them excited about doing something they ordinarily pitch a fit about. So far our son likes having his teeth brushed, but like Paul we just have that one that slips over your fingers. My son only has 4 teeth currently but I use that brush that fits like a thimble on my finger. He does not seem to mind so much..but I love the idea for when it gets more challenging.
