My son just turned one and he's amazing.

He just finished reading "War & Peace" and now he's already fluent in Spanish, French and Mandarin. But he's not just an academic. He's actively being scouted by the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots, as a switch-hitting catcher and outside linebacker respectively.

He's also very into Superstring theory lately, but that's probably just a phase.

Hopefully he'll perfect the complex equation he's been working on that will single-handedly solve the financial crisis, but first he has to finish his dissertation which is an inquiry into the status, nature and extent of Nietzsche's critique of Enlightenment.

But in all seriousness...

He began walking at 9 months and he's been fully mobile for the last 6 weeks.

His smile lights up a room.

He can say "more" and "all done" in sign language.

He's already problem solving (round ball in round hole/squares in square holes)

He flirts with all the beautiful women

Can we brag about our grandchildren? Mine are AMAZING!!! They are so cute, so smart, amazing sense of humor, and so well behaved. Their parents are the best - they spend so much time and energy in their parenting and are really doing an amazing job. The world would be a much better place if everyone did as good a job as they are doing. I am very very proud of both my kids, and my grandchildren, and I love them all so very much!

Pur son is 4 1/2 month old so he hasn't mastered any counting or letters. He does have a vicous karate kick. He also sleeps in his bed like a champ. He is very good at being a good baby. That is very important.

Love the post!
Our little one can do a lot now that she's nearly a year old, but here are a couple of my favorites:
1. She can communicate what she wants by sign language and pointing (more, eat, milk, all done)
2. She can say "I love you" (it's not clear words, but she's getting there)

Happy FF!

Let's see...

The 15 year old is a fantastic artist AND great at math! She wants to work with tigers as a career and is working hard to job shadow someone at the Denver zoo for school.

The 2 year old is very sympathetic when someone is hurt or upset. She looooves babies. She sits down with books and invents her own stories. Along with speaking English words, she still invents her own language!
