Dads Are NOT Babysitters!
Holy Cow! JeanneSager has hit the nail on the bloody head! The idea that dads babysit the kids when mom has to run out is absolutely absurd and she stands up for her spouse in this great post on Strollerderby. This is exactly the type of outdated crap that dads have been dealing with for far too many years. She makes the point so clearly that I really can’t add much more. She voices my feelings perfectly. Please write something to give my husband. He refers to himself as a babysitter whenever I leave the house without OUR daughter. This enrages me to no end. At the moment I am looking up anything to show him as to why his narrow minded thinking is wrong. I don’t babysit our daughter when he’s gone. Currently I don’t care to speak to him because he insists he is just a babysitter.
Please help.

Nice find. Unfortunately this kind of thinking won’t change as long as there are crappy fathers out there. You know it only takes a few stories about a dad doing something stupid with his kids for a ton of people to think that all dads suck in some way.
